Been on Byetta injections for about 2yrs now, and generally consultant has been very happy with 4 x month reviews, however during March discovered my Byetta Pen was not working properly regarding doseage amount. At recent blood test instead of my Hb1ac being down had gone up to 87% yet nothing in my daily checks had shown any concern. As the blood test covers 3 x months can only assume Byetta Pen is to fault as cholesterol is OK/Creating is OK/Urine fluctuates between Nil & slight increase, unfortunately Diabetic Nurses at GP practice have retired & cannot obtain an appointment with GP till end of month as New Nurse does not start till May. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Very strange that your daily blood checks didn't show anything? When do you check your bloods?

I would definitely start checking before and after meals - just until you have your Drs appointment.
