I have just received my HBA1C and it gone up again from 80 to 90 and I’m at a loss why because I’ve been good this last few months and lost 8lbs in 3 weeks., cut out virtually all of my sweets treats but I admit a couple remain. I don’t take any medication for diabetes as I’ve tried a lot in the past. Took insulin for a while and every time they put the insulin up, it didn’t bring them down! Ended up giving up as what’s the point if they just out your numbers up? Tablets just went straight though me and I was ill. Any ideas as the diabetic nurse just keeps saying take the insulin.

Don't despair.
Diabetes is unreliable and whilst there's a text book solution that medical people like to push on us, most of us find that diabetes often does its own thing.
When you say you've been "good" - may I ask what you're eating?

Do you check your blood guclse after meals?
We are often given incomplete information and the starches in our diets are labelled as 'healthy' but they all go into our bloodstream as simple sugars, so something starchy is just the same as something sweet.
That site is US based as it talks about net carbs and includes fibER in the carbs.
This forum is based in the UK. UK labels and websites do NOT include fibRE in the carbs so do not subtract fibre. Net carbs is not a thing in the UK.
