Only diagnosed as type 2 in February, only results I've ever seen are blood glucose so I sort of understand them.

Now had a HBA1c test that came out at 73% with a note saying borderline. Ok from the charts I see 73% around the middle of the chart, but what does borderline mean?

Could you have misread the result, or was it badly written or has the note writer mis-read? If it was meant to be 7.3% (seven point three) it's closer to borderline, depending on what you or your medics were aiming for. It's higher, however, than borderline diabetic.
If it is a genuine 73%, I think you might be dead, have you checked? If it's 73mmol/mol (which is the usual way results are given in the uk) this is high, but many have been higher and then dealt with it and come down to normal levels.

That's the number the GPs reception told me. Oh well will find out when I see the nurse.

My HbA1c at diagnosis was 92 and I think that the 73% fester quoted was probably the figure 73 that @fester61 was given! Which works out at 8.8%
