[QUOTE="AnnM99, post: 2422606, member: 544833"] Hi everyone, I thought I would share my news ... Diagnosed T2 3rd June with BS of 86 and Cholesterol of 6.8. I was devastated. Told to take Gliclazide but said I would do diet first so have just focused on diet, exercise, stress level reduction etc. I had to have more bloods done yesterday for Thyroid, Kidney function etc. I was cheeky and asked for the BS and Cholesterol to be checked too - even though I know it is a 'proper' reading after 12 weeks. They agreed. Got my results today: BS now 60 which I know is still too high but 6 weeks to go before my retest. Cholesterol 5.6. I am happy. BMI done from 26.5 to 24. Doing Low carb diet. Weight coming of nicely without much effort and without feeling hungry. Feeling better than ever - tummy shrinking and now getting fasting readings of 5.5 in the morning. I am feeling hopeful.
