Hi all
A quick question please, am I right in thinking that an HBA1C result of 40 equates to an "averaged" overall blood glucose of 6.6 mmol over the same period? is this the correct way of interpreting the convertor tool ?

Thanks, there might be hope for me yet then. Another A1C test approaching and I have been worried that my fasting levels are going up and up and this will heavily skew the result. There is a chance that my better afternoon and evening levels may make the average acceptable.

Ahhhhh .... averages! One high and one low make an excellent average, but variances between the highs and lows are far more important, and the HbA1c won't measure these. Your meter might, though, if you know how to catch your peaks and the length of time you are above your base level. I put very little emphasis on my HbA1cs, preferring to see what my meter tells me (and also Libre sensors)
