I am a type two diabetic I was until recently taking 4 x 500mg of Metformin a Day plus 1 x 40mg of a Gliclazide. The result of this was as follows
prior to taking the Gliclazide
DCCT% = 7.6 IFCC-mmol/mol = 60 IN mmol/l = 9.6
atfter taking the Gliclazide
DCCT% = 5.4 IFCC-mmol/mol = 35 IN mmol/l = 6.0
The practice Nurse informed me this was to low and instructed me not to take the Gliclazide she said the mmol/mol should be between 45 to 48 but that would give reading as below
DCCT% between 6.3 & 6.5 IFCC-mmol/mol between 45 & 48 IN mmol/l between 7.4 & 7.8
which seem high to me can anyone advise me?
