I've been on the low carb diet since start of June this year. Fell off the wagon a bit over the last 2 weeks due to a holiday in France where I was tempted by a couple of pizzas and the odd croissant or 3. Nevertheless I've lost around 16 lb in this time and have just received result of my latest bi-annual blood test - HbA1c is down from 54 in Jan to 44 now, so I'm pretty chuffed! And I'd like to think this diet has been the cause of the reduction, so a big thankyou to this Forum and the Low Carb programme which has really educated me about eating and drinking decisions
