HbA1c test

My blood result today was 72, but last year the result was

6.8 Fasting Blood sugar
and 9.6 after a glucose tolerance test

can anyone help me to convert these figures to the HbA1c result as I want to compare these.

they aren't comparable

Fasting is a base level
GTT test is a spot value after drinking glucose
HbA1c is an average value

Yes, Andrew's quite right there. But your doctor should be able to give you both results for both tests.

The HbA1c converts to an average of 11.3mmol/l, which are the units we see on blood glucose meters and the same as the units used for the fasting blood glucose test.
