Hi

I’m just wondering , does a Hba1c test give the doctor an idea of cell count etc? Or is the text used purely to blood sugar ?

Would a doctor be able to notice anything abnormal through this test ?

The HbA1c test measures the glucose in the haemoglobin red cells. It doesn't measure anything else, but you can have a full blood count test that will measure your cell counts.
