Sharon,

if you go to the top of any page click on the Diabetes.co.uk logo.
On the next page you'll find Blood Sugar Converter on the red menu bar. Click on this.
On the next page you'll notice HbA1c Units Converter on the left side menu. Click on this.
Enter your 'big' number in the bottom part of the converter, and click on Convert to % below.

6.1943. Voila !

Well done. Soon be in the 5s

Geoff

Thanks Geoff

So what should it be then is this a good ar bad result i still dont have a diagnosis of type 2 or pre diabeties but guess it must be type 2 x

truffles - the Reference Range for Hb1AC is < 6.5 and 6.19 was a good result showing that your blood sugar levels have been fairly well controlled (mean average) over the last three months. But, as a contributor above has said, "Soon be in the 5's" is a target which (when CONSTANTLY met) would possibly indicate that you are not a Diabetic. This is not a diagnosis !! just a spur for you to achieve a lower figure and remain healthy.
