Hi all,

Is the HBA1c result obtained from the blood test that they take after the oral glucose test, or is it yet another blood test entirely?

Hi there, the HB1AC is a test which takes your average blood sugar over a period of 3 months I believe, totally different to the Glucose Tolerance Test x
 
Yes, HbA1c is a one - off blood test, but it measures the effect of your average blood sugar levels over the previous few months. The results are however heavily weighted towards the last month's blood sugar levels.
