Had my test christmas eve and results are
38mmol
Is this good or should it be lower??

That is a fantastic result in my opinion. There should be no need for it to be lower, Just carry on with what you are doing.

Thanks everyone just being new at this didnt know if it was good to be like that or if it should be lower

as you are on insulin ..how are your hypo's? if not too frequent and you are managing them and have good hypo awareness..and your Dr is ok with that level..it's excellent

Ill see consultant end of this month so ill see what he says about my results,i do have hypos every now and again but not as often as i used too

Every now and again is fine, no one can escape hypo's as you'd have to live in a glass bubble and monitor your levels 24/7 to avoid them.

As long as you recognise the hypo's coming on (have good hypo awareness symptoms) and can manage to treat the hypo's yourself when you do go low then there shouldn't be a problem with the consultant, well done on what you have achieved so far :)

My first test came back at 39, I was told it was good and the target beforehand was 55 I think. Specialist said it was good as long as I wasn't having too many hypos. Booked in for another test next time I go to see about lowering insulin.

L3wisr, are you having many hypos? 39 is a great result if you are not having many and have full hypo awareness.

If the above is true, I would suggest reducing insulin levels was unnecessary.

I'd say I'd be going low about once or twice every two weeks
