As I am going into hospital next month, I saw my GP this morning to request my first HbA1c since being diagnosed prediabetic last October.
When I was given the news last October, she also added that I had been prediabetic for a year. Noone had told me. I was so shocked, I didn't think to ask what the previous year's reading had been. Asked this morning and was pleasantly surprised to learn it was 45, a point higher than last year's reading. At 44. Plus, I was also taking steroids at that time.
So, it had reduced slightly before I found this fantastic website and followed all your advice. Here's hoping that I will see an even better reduction at my next test the week after next!
