How long did your hba1c's take to drop once you took control of your diet?

A result of 7 is considered as OK but borderline by the NHS - my GP was happy when mine came down to 6.8% with medication. However, above 7% and it is likely that your GP is likely to be considering medications. I wanted mine much lower than 7 and managed to achieve 5.3% without great difficulty by changing my diet.
