Is a Hca1 blood result of 72 mmol a diagnosis of diabetes. Asked the gp to screen me for diabetes and she did the above test

An hba1c of 72 is a diabetic number. Official diagnosis can depend on a second test to confirm.
Non diabetic hba1c is anything up to 42, prediabetic is 42-48, anything above is diabetes.

Did you have a particular reason to ask to be tested? Symptoms or a strong family history?
