Heat and hypos.

Anyone else in the UK having increased hypos during this heatwave?
I've had 3 yesterday and 4 today. I've eaten a cornetto, 3 Mars bar ice creams and drunk a bottle of full fat coke as well as my normal meals and blood has not gone above 5.1mmol. Thank god for libre sensors, I would have no blood left to take finger prick tests.

Yes, I have had more hypos in this heat.
However, I have also noticed Libre are not fans of the heat and have been more inaccurate than usual.
Do check your Libre alarms before taking hypo treatment.

That's another issue I have. My doctor will only issue 2 sensors a month, which means unless it's February my libre sensors run out 2 or 3 days before I can get another prescription. And when I asked for test strips to check the accuracy of the sensors and to cover the days when I have no sensor they refused. And at £50 per sensor I can't afford to self supply.
