I have improved my control dramatically in the last month. Hitting my range 30% more often in April than I did in March. I believe that is down to many things, not least this forum and the help and advice of the online T1 community on the whole. Just reading of others' opinions, information and struggles has been incredibly helpful.

Right now, I am noticing how sharp my awareness of my BG has become. I'm picking up on the highs a LOT sooner. I believe this is down to better, tighter control. Has anybody else experienced this effect? and just how sharp are your BG "senses"? for hyper and hypo. Thanks for any replies :)

I can tell if my BG gets to around 10mmol/l. Mainly by a weird pressure I feel behind my eyes, it's quite difficult to explain really...

Congratulations on your success to date by the way:)

agree with @GrantGam
I can tell if I am heading above ~~~~9 ~~~ or so due to the tight control I( try to ) maintain
my readings have seen me only have 5 readings above 9.0 in the last 14 days and 3 of those were due to 1 event where my pump did not deliver the bolus insulin properly. ( nightmare -- but at least I knew why )

Glycosuria typically starts above 10-11. So if I notice some of that it's time to test. But sometimes I don't even notice that when I'm high, which isn't often.

Thanks guys. Interesting to compare your experiences there. Right now I'm starting to notice it around 10mmol. Hopefully good signs for the next A1c.
