Flatulence or wind can be caused by a gastric problem. I had a real problem until treated for Heliobacter Pylori. The GP can organise a breath test or blood test etc to detect if it is still present. Sometimes the usual treatment with antibiotics fails to wipe it out. Your GP should check this possibility. My own wind problems returned within weeks because I was next put on an ACE inhibitor to lower my blood pressure and this then caused a gastric ulcer after about a year. The extreme amount of wind did make me vomit a couple of times when I leaned forward cleaning my teeth. Anything which makes it difficult to eat normally / reduces your appetite may have an effect on your BS readings. Make sure your doctor takes you seriously.. I had to switch to a different surgery before I could get anyone to listen !!!
