Hi, I've not used this forum in a long time, but I'm just wondering if anyone else is having difficulty obtaining prescribed insulin. I ordered a new prescription of Lantus slow release insulin in July. I haven't had any after 6-7 weeks' wait. Is this becoming a common thing? I know the UK produces virtually none of its own insulin and wonder if Brexit/not having a diabetic PM has finally come home to roost? Anybody else had issues?
Thank you.

absolutely not okay to wait this long
call other pharmacies in your area to see if they have stock and if they do, get your script back and take it there. Often its an internal supply chain issue and not a national shortage,
if no one has any, call your prescriber and ask them to switch you something else.

Thanks for your advice. I now have obtained a couple of months' supply of insulin, but have run out of almost all my other medicines (for other conditions) so will chase your advice on those too.
