Just popping in to introduce myself.

I am 46 years old, diagnosed with type 1 as a 28 year old in 1997.

I have been pumping since 2003 - on my third Medtronic Pump, using Novorapid. I have pretty good control; HbA1c usually less than 7.0 mmol/L. But I would like to improve this without more hypos.

I've come here with two main interests:

- Learning more about Low Carb High Fat diet as a way to manage post-meal BSL
- Managing BSL before, during & after exercise

I live in Sydney Australia with my 12 year old son and work as a Regulatory Scientist (originally trained as a Food Chemist/Scientist).

Thanks for making me welcome.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I do the LCHF diet, there's loads of help on the forum here and loads of info on google. Have a read and see whether its right for you. Personally I love it, it keeps my post meal BG down and I love the side effect of weight loss.
