Hi and welcome! I think the best source of info for the Newcastle Diet (ND) is probably going straight to the Newcastle university website where the research info, and specifics have been published. Here is the link. http://www.ncl.ac.uk/magres/research/diabetes/low-calorie-diets/ https://www.diabetes.org.uk/Research/Research-round-up/Research-spotlight/Research-spotlight-low-calorie-liquid-diet/ http://www.nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk/Services/A-Z/DiabetesService/PatientsCarers/Documents/SJH%20NEWCASTLE%20DIET%20BOOKLET2012.pdf Once you have those, you will realise that what a lot of people do is 'their version' of the ND. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, so long as they are being monitored properly, and understand what they are doing, but it can be tricky working out what is ND and what is not. Also, a number of myths seem to have grown up about the ND, and it is worth knowing the facts, from Professor Taylor himself. There are also some variations, in that PRofessor Taylor has adjusted his protocols at different stages of the work, for various reasons. Hope that helps! :)
