Hi from a new member, but long time lurker. Thought I should finally sign up and join in. I'm Paul, I'm 35 and have been type 1 for the last 19 years, of which the last 18 months have been on a pump. Never had great control but its okay, hopefully can get it good with some advice I can gain from here.

Hi Tallpaul79
welcome to the forum :)
it is a great group of people here as you will know from your former position in the shadows :D

A warm welcome to the forum Paul, are you getting good support from your pump clinic to help improve your bg control?

I don't know if your aware of basal testing and how important it is but if not have a read of the following, it explains how to do basal checks so that you can move onto other things like getting your insulin-to-carb ratio's right:

Hi unfortunately I wouldn't call it good support, my dsn can be a bit hit or miss. I know that I am the one who needs to get it right but my diabetes has always come last in life, I have never let it get in the way. Although I test regularly I rarely do anything with the results. I guess that's partly why I have joined here to get some inspiration and to get it in check once and for all......
