Hi all how are you i am living here in south georgia in the u.s a. I am married to a military member and have lived in the states since 1994. My husband just got orders to the u.k at R.A.F Lakenheath in cambridge we should be there by the end of september 2011. I have an 11 yr old son who is a type 1 diabetic and has been since 2004 when he was just 4 yrs old. Any way i was just introducing myself and hope to get some good feedback from this site glad i found it :D

Hi georgia and welcome to the forum :) I wish you good luck with your move. You will find the health system in the UK is rather different to what you are used to and it's a good thing you joined this forum as you will be able to find out what you need to know. I'm sure you have got a lot of questions and there is always someone here who will be able to help you. The search engine should help you a lot too.

I recommend you visit the Diabetes Youth Club where families hang out and you might find some of your questions will be answered by the people there:
