Background from me, had GD diagnosed when pregnant with second child, dr said was probable that I had it with first too. Diet controlled through pregnancy, and upon delivery of son was told not to worry and go back to normal. No follow up appointments or anything. 6.5 yrs on and I have never once been recommended a check or anything. Over the last 2-3 months I have felt very very tired, if I have a large dinner I am feeling uncontrollably tired, I'm constantly thirsty and wee for England! I have also had a few occasions of blurred vision. As I remember these from before I asked dr for blood test, which is tomorrow. I will be fasting from 9.30 this evening and test is in the morning. I'm not sure how long tests will take to come back, or what to expect really. Any advice?
I am really worried about being diagnosed with diabetes again, knocked me for 6 when I was diagnosed when pg :-(
