Many thanks for your kind words, everyone on here so supportive and helpful. I have been asking many questions, just sent home from hospital with 80g glipizide , no advice or backup, phoned diabetic nurse after a week, blood sugars still high, told double your dose. I did this and sugars have dropped slightly. I am very careful with what I eat, will go back to GP.
 
Let us know how you get on Fingers crossed now you've got the support of the forum that will help too - as someone said in another posting - "tell us what the doctors say and we'll put you straight "
 
Just been skim reading my email (sign up for email updates, its defo worth getting. But I digress - as I got to the bottom I found there is a video about coping with illness AND diabetes. Don't know if its any good as not watched it yet but really need to get to bed as I;m up early tomo - here's the link anyhow - with the length of that its a copy and paste job - or search for it on this site
