Hi there
I am a mother to 3 family members who are all Type 1 - two on insulin pumps and one on MDI. I have a question regarding if you give a short acting insulin shot - for most it should start to working within 15mins - but now working too soon and delivering far too much? My MDI son is having issues after 13 years of insulin being so sensitive - like crashing him down by 8-10 points ( especially if he is running high) He currently has excellent over all tight control - but over the past few weeks requires hardly any insulin and is crashing too quickly too often? In an ideal world - when insulin is behaving itself and you only want a correction say ( 3-4 lower level) Why suddenly is it crashing big time? Are there any othere medical conditions that might be contributing to this: Addisons Disease, Thyroid issues, Coelic Diesase ( all ruled out)
