hello there im an intern doing research and there are some questions i would like to know more about one is what kind of medicationdo you guys take

Hello chemist lover

For diabetes:
I used to take Metformin 2 x 3 per day, 320mg Gliclazide divided into two doses. I then started a low carb diet, gradually reducing carbs and medication, currently I am taking 2 x 1 Metformin, hoping to reduce this over the next few weeks. see how it goes.

For BP:
Used to take Ramiripril, Irbesartan and Amlodipine until it was discovered that one of those raised my potassium and calcium levels.
Low carb, eating less, increased activity levels eventually allowed me to reduce and eventually stop BP meds.

General:
Alpha lipoic acid, pycnogel, Q10 Co-Enzyme

Yes I took my medication as prescribed. At the time the medications were the best option because I had no other information on how to deal with diabetes. Medication helped me to some extent.

Am sorry but we are not medically trained or qualified to answer questions in a medical project or research .
It would be wrong and improper of us to do so. We are just forum members of the public and their families living with a diabetes condition. You have expressed that you are conducting a research/project on the general questions thread. Therefore to protect the forum I will have to lock this thread.
