Hi...I am trying to do some self diagnosis to help me with my migraines and I think they are linked to blood sugar levels. When is the best time of the day to take a measurement ?

Hi and welcome. Most members test first thing in the morning on waking before they do any activity and before eating and drinking.
I used to suffer with migraines years ago which would last 2-3 days, it was definitely hormonal for me. I found taking vitamin B12 & B6 everyday had an enormous effect. I either didn’t get them or reduced them to just a small headache. :)

Hi I have vestibular migraine and had them for years. I’ve recently realised mine are brought on by yogurt and cheese as I wondered why I had tinnitus after eating them. I’m wondering if I am dairy intolerant. I tried introducing myself but I can’t do it. Jeanette

Sorry for the delay...and thanks for your replies . Anyhow I'm beginning to think my migraines could be linked to blood sugar level...early days but Wednesday morning nearly passed out ..reading was 7.7mmol but that means nothing to me yet. I am not diabetic.

If you tested right after you nearly passed out, the nearly passing out seems to be completely unrelated to your blood glucose. 7.7 is neither low nor high.

Check out Angela Stanton on Google. She's an American who is really knowledgeable on migraines, and their relation to diet.
I was told about her by a (sadly now) deceased member on here who resolved her life long migraines with a very low carb/carnivore way of eating
