Hello all on here as a mum whose daughter was diagnosed last week as having type 1 she was very very ill , everything so new , she is 12 so you can imagine we have had a few tears, but i hope she will get to use this forum one day.
 
Welcome to the forum Louie :) - not one you (or anyone)really wants to join - but you will be glad you did - I am an almost at the top of the hill T2 and have no knowledge of T1 - but we have some very knowledgable parents of kids with T1 and they will be a of great help to you - just have a read around and any questions you have just ask - there is usaully someone who can help :)

Hope your daughter is improving - it can be very worrying and frightening but you will all get there :)
 
Hello Louie and welcome to the forum :) There are plenty of mums on here whose children have type 1 and they will be along soon. In the meantime I suggest you have a look at the Diabetes Youth Club Forum as you will find a lot of information there. Here is the link to it: viewforum.php?f=16. Maybe your daughter will be able to look at it herself soon when she feels better.
