Hello, I'm Jee and I'm new to this forum thing. I've type 2 diabetes, live in Scotland and love to walk, read, write, sew, knit, crochet and design patterns for the above on a freelance basis. I'm just sorting my life out after a difficult situation and am finding it lonely at the moment.

Hi Jee and welcome to the forum :)
You will find many friends on here with common interests and some members live in Scotland too.
If you need to know anything just ask and someone will help.

Hi Jee, I'm Lee!

I live in Cornwall and several years ago members of a local Austin Seven car club drove to Scotland for a holiday. They would meet up with a Scottish A7 club and go to a ceilidh to join in the fun. What they didn't tell their hosts was that the men would turn up in Cornish kilts and the women would all wear long dresses with a sash (I think). One of the Cornish men even made some Cornish Pasty shaped buckles to hold the kilts together. When they entered the room dressed in kilts the place was silent for a second or two, then the Scots let out a great cheer! The Cornish kilt wearers outnumbered the Scottish kilt wearers, so many of the Scottish men went home and put their kilts on. A great time was had by all. I might be able to lay my hands on a photo if you have a strong stomach, all those Cornish knees. Erchh.

I couldn't agree more!

I can't offer newcomers much in the way of advice, but I can certainly say hello.

Hello Zolabud. Hello all!

You will not always get the answers you might have been expecting or hoping for, but there is never a need to be lonely here!

Welcome
