Hi! I'm Emma, I'm 16 and I was diagnosed with diabetes 2 years ago on July 6th 2007. I was on Mixtard 30 for 6 days, stayed above 24mmol  , so I switched to lantus and novorapid. On July 31st 2008 I started pumping novorapid in my MM522.
When I started pumping my A1C was 7.8, and in 4 months it had gone down to 6.4. It's a little higher now, but pumping did WONDERS for my D control. I'm now beginning the fight for a CGMS. I've had some nasty lows in the 1-2.5mmol range at night, and LOs during the day, and it appears that my basal rates need to be reconsidered on an hourly basis.
I'm a member on a lot of D forums, but I've never seen this one before, so I hope to stick around!
