Hi, I’m quite new to this so I’m hoping I’m not doing too bad but I’ve just recently been through a point where I lost all my senses as I was getting some food before getting on the plane back home.

I was standing in line and all of a sudden it just started to take over, my vision turned black not blurry like I could slightly see the outline and colour of things it was just all black I felt like I wasn’t even conscious but I was still standing and I could hear what was around me but I became weak seconds later barley having the energy to walk or even stand up I got help from my family to hold me up but soon after I then couldn’t hear anything for a minute, one of my family members witness a blueness colour appear on my lips and they started to panick knowing I couldn’t breathe but I was completely calm and thought I was breathing but apparently I wasn’t I was still standing at the time with my teeth clenched together not being able to open my mouth to get access of air so they had to put something in my mouth to stop me biting my tongue.

I eventually got to a chair and I could hear everything around me again but I still couldn’t feel
Or see anything, I started to feel a pain in my stomach as I thought it was because of my period but it was more like the pain was up just a little bit below my ribs I did get some help eventually from nurses but I didn’t go to the hospital I just went to the emergency room in the Main Rome airport as it took over an hour for my family to seek help but I thought it was just a normal dizziness so I didn’t think much of it.

They told my family for me to come down stairs and in my condition of not being able to see nor being able to walk there was no way I could get down stairs without falling unconscious I was so close to blacking out but I had to fight my body to keep myself awake having to take in a large amount of pain while attempting to keep myself awake, I felt the sudden need to go to the bathroom so I got help to the ladies disabled toliets and went to the bathroom then the emergency doctors flew the door open and I was practically still half naked and I see two nurses and two men that we’re there holding the stretcher I was so embarrassed because they all saw me and invaded my privacy and space as a family member said to them earlier I’m fine for the minute I just need a few minutes by myself but they didn’t listen to them and I became completely exposed to everyone even people walking by but besides that horrible situation I finally returned to the emergency room but as I was on my way there laying on the stretcher these two men pushing me along were laughing at me about the situation I was quite disgusted and angry about their immaturity and their stupidity of not considering how it could affect a teenagers thoughts or feelings this is all a little much information but I suggest to be aware that if you are in the Rome airport and a emergency situation happens please call the ambulance instead of emergency help from the airport because they have no respect or patience for you whatsoever yet if my situation was considered as life threatening they still wouldn’t have made in time fast enough then an actual ambulance and they’re only down stairs.

Anyways I’m still not sure if this is a sign of diabetes because i’ve never been tested but if anyway could help me I would be enternaly greatful x thank you so much it’s much appreciated

Hi @Seagully ,

Welcome to the forum.

Sorry you've had these experiences.
Unfortunately, it would be inappropriate to diagnose you from the symptom you've mentioned on the forum.
This would be or your doctor to run tests, with the support of your family.

Regards,

J>

I agree with what @Jaylee says about getting checked at the Drs. Please get an appt booked soon, so an explanation for your symptoms can be established.

What a terrible experience for you. How are you now?

How long ago was this, and have you been to see your family doctor?

We can't possibly diagnose you. Only a doctor can help with this. I urge you to see one if you haven't already.

@Jaylee @Bluetit1802 @Rachox Thank you for the advice and I’m doing better than I was a few days ago but I’m currently now in hospital for the time being so the doctor said they’ll run some tests through soon but thanks once again
I’m glad to hear you’re being looked after. Let us know how you get on, when you feel up to it.

Hi @Seagully, sorry to hear about your bad experience at the airport. But I hope now you are in hospital you will receive a diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Did you manage to take your flight home, or has your trip been delayed?
