Hi,

In June I will be taking part in a walk up Snowdon via the Pyg Track and down the Miners Path.

I am after any information such as - how much water to take and should I take any energy drinks (Lucozade )and types of food. Should a chocolate bar be taken?

Any information would be gratefully received

Thanks

Alan

hi, i would say make sure your well hydrated before you start, ie. drink plenty at least 2 ltrs + a day of water the week leading up to it, then drink when your thirsty on the climb, drinking too much is often more problematic than too little, lucozade gels wont be needed, for such an activity id would be looking at a banana at most and then just slow release healthy foods, having a choccy bar in your bag wont hurt but i wouldnt eat it unless you felt like you needed to, maybe have a sandwich and nuts, nothing unusual from your normal diet though, you dont want tummy ache, gels can do this for sure

best of luck with it, please let us know how you get on

everything here is just my uneducated opinion, please listen to others before me :)
