Hi.
I'm so confused. When should I be testing my sugars after I've eaten to get the most accurate result. The way I've understood it is novorapid takes 4hours to finish working. So in my head I assumed keep meal times 4 hrly get an accurate result. Recently been on holiday and my sugars unfortunately were high no idea why. It was hot but I didn't really stop either. I was eating at between 7 and 8 pm going to bed at half 9 getting a high reading before bed and in the morning. If I wakeat 5 BG usually 10 go back to sleep re-test at 8 usually 13. Usually take my levemir at 9 am/pm.
I got told I wasn't carb counting properly but I am I just try to stick to the same thing to try and keep it as steady as I can. I get told different things depending on which specialist I see. I'm just so frustrated and struggling as feel like I'm currently fighting a loosing battle.
