@mcdougall86, I started with the TEE2, then migrated to the Codefree and now I use the GlucoNavii. All three are mentioned in @Rachox's excellent post above, and all three usually worked pretty well for me. As far as I know these strips are the cheapest, especially if you take advantage of their bulk buy offers. I have always liked to buy the cheapest strips available (still not very cheap) as I don't like the idea of rationing them. BUT who knows, really, how accurate any of these makes of strip are? We all have horror stories of getting 3 wildly varying readings from the same drop of blood. Again, the less I pay the less upset I am when I doubt the readings I am getting. You could decide what you want your meter to do. Do you want it to sync with an app on your smartphone? I don't bother with this and as far as I know the Navii doesn't do it. Do check before buying. Do you want it to test ketones as well as bg? Again, I'm not bothered. I believe ketone strips are expensive. Will you want to carry your meter around, perhaps in a pocket? Size will matter to you. As you used a meter in the past, you will have found out what you like. Spirit and Home Health both have good customer support. In the end, what really matters is your excellent decision to test.
