Help! Constant high bg levels

Hi on waking this morning my bg level was 16.7! This has been the norm lately 14-17 fasting. I take 1 500mg tablet with every meal (metformin) Any advice would be greatly. Appreciated.
Driving me mad.

Metformin isn't a silver bullet. What do you typically eat? Standard NHS advice to eat carbohydrates I'm guessing might be the issue here.
 
Hi. Yes, do keep the carbs down. Can you let us know your BMI and age. Diet is always the best route and then medication as necessary
