Today I met a friend in her 90s who said she had been quite ill since diagnosed with T1 a year ago.
Since then she has been put on 4 fixed injections of insulin a day and given a Libre.
She says her sugars are all over the place, very up and very down.
She is under the care of a central London hospital and can and does ring the nurses for advice. She trusts them implicitly.

However I thought she was worried and she looked poorly to me.

She doesn't use computers or mobiles at all.

Is there any printed material I could give to her that might help her manage her T1 better?

(Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding her condition and care, I'm a mere T2 who is technology-enabled)

As a T1, I think she should be eligible for a DAFNE course. (Dose adjustment for normal eating.)
From what I understand from other members from the UK (correct me if I'm wrong), this is a course you attend in person, not online, to help you learn to carb count and adjust your doses to your carbs.

Can it be the nurses in the hospital are trying to keep things simple for her because she's in her nineties? They may be doing her a disservice here, assuming her mind works just fine and she can read well. Those nurses may be young enough to have forgotten that information in print can be as useful as the internet, and they may not even know where to start.
