this time of year a fridge isnt a huge issue as alot of the veg i keep up on deck, we also have a slow cooker so can use that not the best of cooks always loved eating not preparing lol so thats all a learning curve, am finding all the new food stuff a bit exspensive as partner was paying for our food mostly but he is a pizza etc man soooo now buying alot of mine myself thank you all for your support
I've not found it too bad for cost.
A lot of veg, seasonal, not root veg though, as that's quite starchy.
Dried beans.
Flavour from herbs and spices.
Roundpound, poundstretcher, B&M, all good for dried and tinned foods, and a really good range of interesting herbs and spices.
Whatever is on offer anywhere on two for ones.
Throwing nothing out, it gets fridged, (usually veg anyway) then a Friday curry, stew, or chili.
The same stock, say chicken and veg, big pot, split up, - chili powder, it's a chili, curry, it's a curry, herbs, it's a French herb.
Flexible is cheaper too.
No set recipe, whatever veg, whatever beans, whatever meat, with the right spices, herbs, flavours, it's a meal.
