Frustrated with weight loss this week. Have been losing 3lbs a week steadily (Newcastle diet), and decided to do serious exercise. Bought a second hand treadmill (I know!!!) and all last week and this week did 30 minutes a day very brisk walking. 5km per hr, gentle incline. Built up quite a sweat, reasonably breathless, and machine told me had walked more than 3 km, burned more than 200 cals. So convinced weight loss this past week would be great - but only 2lbs! How can this be? Have not eaten any more.

You are still losing weight so that's great.

yeah im not scared of her pffft im way too double hard

.......probly best not to mention this

You ve lost a stone since April !!!! I am jealous. It has taken me over 18 months to loose a stone and a half. I want to loose another half a stone but it seems to want to stick to my ribs and hold on. The last half a stone is always the hardest. , I will get there lol

My son and I are thinking of getting a treadmill too, husband's not too keen though.
Yes, how can that be? you are on what is termed a starvation diet, you burn more cals and then lose less weight. It doesn't make sense does it? I think that's why I got silly earlier, I am just so scared that I won't manage to lose anymore and there's such a long way to go.

My weight loss numbers have slowed down but to be honest I don't care really ( well maybe more because I want to be 10st something) anyway my clothes fit better , my double chins have gone. My sugars are normal and I feel good.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.

Stress and worry stop weight loss. Chill out Zand, you didn't put the weight on quickly, and in the olden days, curvy women were classed as beautiful. xx
