Help! I have so much weight to lose

Designers who think attractive is slim male figures, obviously voluptuous curves are out and not seen as attractive on the subconscious level and so the females are boyish
 
Hi. I have decided to take a break from this thread for a while, so whilst I am continuing with LCHF and being weighed weekly I won't be posting regular updates anymore. Sorry. I have made this decision because I have been suffering from stress recently and am losing a lot of hair because of it. This has not been helped by reading posts which are obviously anti LCHF and also anti the people who follow LCHF. I started the thread in the first place so that I could be honest with myself and everyone else about my weight and the problems I have had losing it. I hoped it would help others too, some of you have said that it has, and I'm really pleased. Others however can't wait to see any blip in my weight loss and are happy to decide that this is because LCHF doesn't work. This is so wrong. I have always said that finding the right diet was just one of the things I needed to do. I also need to sort out some emotional problems. My GP is referring me for counselling and I have decided to ask for anti depressants next time I see him. The doctor is impressed with my weight loss through LCHF and has called it phenomenal. However, I don't feel I can continue to 'go public' with this whilst I am going through counselling too.

I will be back with updates from time to time, and you will see those 'before and after' photos one day! Thanks so much for all of your support.

Good luck. You have to do what is best for you diet wise so don't let the unpleasantness get to you- it's their loss x

Sometimes a break,is good ....i am still having my break ...but could not help dropping in to visit ....I must be more strict with myself ...

hi, i've been thinking about you saying about asking for anti depressants, have you ever tried ST Johns wart, it does the same, they put it in anti depressants it's not addictive, my husband was depressed after his father passed, he took them for 5 or 6 yrs then decided he was ready to stop them.
i once went to the doc wanting tablets she told me some times it's better to feel things, didn't agree at the time, hope all goes well for you
 
I think there's problems with taking St John's Wort and warfarin together, though I may be able to stop taking warfarin soon, so that would be a better option than going down the drugs route. Thank you, this is a good suggestion and I really appreciate it. x
 
I've always believed that food is like any other addiction with one "major" difference ....we need it to live .

I was addicted to slot machines for a few months years ago after working a short spell in a pub...answer ..avoided at all costs pubs ect ,cured ! The answer to almost all addictions is total abstinence ...can you imagine saying to an alcoholic just cut right down to three small shorts a day .They'd laugh you out the room ,...and yet essentially that is what we are being asked to do .

Very hard and the reason that 97% of super life goal slimmers in clubs revert and gain their weight back within five years .I lost four stone after having my children and swore I would NEVER allow myself to become over weight again .I kept it off for four years and then I met my hubby .Ten years on and I'd die to be the weight I was back then at my heaviest .

There needs to be far better support out there provided by the NHS ..something a little more practical than a weekly weigh in or "diet advice" I'm sure I'm not the only one here who could probably write her own nutrition guide and yet find it almost impossible to practice it ! If we want to see a drop in Type 2 Diabetes there needs to be a huge overhaul of their way of dealing with obesity
I can understand someone saying they are scared of losing weight ...its the degree of commitment that's being asked of them I think.
