I'm hoping somebody on the forum can help me with this problem. When I download my CDs into iTunes the tracks are all over the place. I'll find for instance that a disc will show up as Tracks 3,7,11. I then have to search to find other tracks and I'll discover Tracks 1 and 2 elsewhere. A further search will find the other tracks scattered randomly. When I sync them to my iPod Touch they will be transferred in the same way. If I want to hear Beethoven's 5th Symphony I have to play the first and second movement then search for the rest of the symphony. As you can imagine this is driving me crazy. It's the same for jazz discs and pop music.
I've been through the manual and clicked on the site's Help button but I can't find any mention of this phenomenon. It may well be that this is a fairly common problem and everybody else knows how to cure it - except me.
Any help would be much appreciated - I'm on the point of throwing my iPod out the window. :(

Hi,
When you view iTunes on your computer you will see the track names, artists, album titles etc. all listed in columns. At the top of each column is an arrow, pointing either up or down. If you want the list of music to be shown by track name, click on the arrow at the top of that column. The tracks will be listed in alphabetical order. Clicking it again will reverse the order (ie. A-Z or Z-A). The same thing applies to the other columns, each will be listed A-Z or Z-a if you click the arrow at the head of the column. Tracks starting with a number are usually listed after Z, at the end of the list. When you sync your iPod the music will be searchable by genre, artist, track etc. as normal.
Hope that is of use.

Thank you very much, Mr Burden. After a bit of fiddling around I've managed to sort out this problem for most of the CDs. I had no idea it would be so easily resolved. My thanks to you.

THIS IS A COMMON COMPLICATION ARISING WITH DIABETES. Try reducing the number of carbs you give your I Pod, that seems to fix most things.

Well, I'll be danged! And I've been giving it Eccles cakes and doughnuts twice a day. Same as I eat myself. You're not kidding me, are you?

Wot, Me?? Certainly not. You also need to avoid immersing them in sugary drinks, although diet drinks and alcohol are ok. And don't play any music by the Sugar Babes or any Flour Power music like "Honey Honey"
