Suspect my bacon sources might not be of help to you as I live in Australia these days. I really think that if you do an internet search the UK would have plenty of lovely options and I fondly remember bacon being much nicer than the supermarket stuff we get here.
As I write my home cured, dry cure, bacon experiment is about to go into my BBQ bacon "smoker". Winter is upon us with a vengance and it is very rainy and cold so it is just the right weather to try the smoking effect .
If you are contemplating a visit to our beach haven, you are welcome to come stay and be a test pilot for my low carb hospitality!
