Joint facet problem has to be looked at too. You need to do the correct gentle exercises, which are usually based around core strengthening. You should ask your doctor for a referral to a physio who can give you the right things to do. If you can find the motivation to start then often the ensuing good results will give you the motivation to continue. How about looking forward to spending time with your daughter or seeing grandchildren in the future, or being able to look after yourself and not relying on others ( that's my motivation , big time! ). If you are feeling very low, have you considered talking to your GP about if you need some help with that too? I think everybody gets to a point where they just want to give up. You have to look for the reasons to keep pushing on. Good luck!
