Can anyone advise what you do at times of high bloods- having been fairly stable over the last few days, infact lower rather than higher, a reading 2 hours after breakfast is showing BS 315. 5 units of Humalog mix was given before breakfast and this reading was taken 2 hours after breakfast. What to do? Would you give more insulin or wait for the next scheduled dose which will be in 2 hours before lunch? The instructions from the doctor are to increase that dose by 2 units based on the high reading. Sorry new to this so any words of wisdom most appreciated!
