Genuine question what do you do if you've forgotten if you have taken night time insulin. My memory has been all over the place at the moment and I don't have a clue if I be taken it or not

This evenings dose x
I had the same problem a number of time, it just becomes so auto-pilot that you can't remember whether you've taken it or not, if I ever wasn't sure then I just didn't take it and kept and eye on things for the next day - what I did was got myself some Timesulin caps for my pens (about 20 quid each), they show how long ago it was you last used it (well ok, it shows how long ago since the last time you had the cap off for more than 8 seconds - so you can quickly check it without resetting the timer).Genuine question what do you do if you've forgotten if you have taken night time insulin.
