Congratulations! A unexpected double whammy!!
1) Important to keep BSLS under control as I am sure your specialist emphasised.
2) There are multivitamin and mineral tablets for pregnancy and breast feeding. I have seen strong recommendations for pregnant women to take multi-vitamin and mineral tablets that contain not only folate but IODINE which baby needs throughout the pregnancy. So please consider starting a reputable brand asap too! ( iodine, iron, vit D, folate, vit b3) and of course check with nurses and specilaists
3) I have heard urine infections are more likely during pregnancy and so could upset blood sugars.
4) I have read that in some places the routine tests for pregnancy include thyroid blood test as thyroid problems and diabetes problems may be interlinked, but not always.
5) Consider writing down questions as they come to you and ask on forum and ask your specialists, diabetes and obstetrics.
6) Take good care of yourself and that will help baby too.
