Morning

Really needing some help with my eating - bit of back ground first, i started low carbing about a year and a half ago, have lost 52 kilos, i weighed 134, and im now 82 kg, i badly want to get to 78kg so i can have a 2 kilo leyway to 80, but i cant get there no matter what i do!

for breakfast i eat
berries, few nuts, bit of coconut flour and bit of LSA, with cream/milk (full fat for both), and tablespoon of full fat greek yoghurt
or
omlette with mushrooms and bit of grated cheese
or
bacon and two fried eggs

lunch
omelette with salad (tomato, lettuce, red onion)
or
chicken and vege soup - no spuds, or split peas

dinner
piece of Protein (chicken, steak etc) and vege, no spuds.

i havent been snacking, just having a coffee if im peckish. Have even cut out my 85% chocolate, i dont eat any pasta, bread, rice, biscuits, potatos, i drink lots of water.
My meals are not huge, and im not adding an extreme amount of olive oil or butter to anything......i really thought i new what i was doing but im still the same weight from 2 months ago! i do exercise. walking and go to the gym.
Is there a point where the body says enough weightloss?
does anyone have any tips or should i just be happy where i am?

Firstly very well done on your weight loss so far, that is a huge amount to lose! I am prediabetic and low carb, unfortunately my cholesterol and triglyerides which were excellent before low carbing detoriated
when I low carbed and didn't worry about eating the saturated fats. So as a result of this I now eat probably less fat than you.
So for my diet breakfast would be 25 gms of almonds and a cup of green tea, or if I had an omelette I would cook in a dash of olive oil, or I might have bacon with all the fat trimmed and mushroom fried in olive oil and grilled tomatoes.

For lunch I generally have a large undressed salad, I vary the ingredients. I might have some nuts and olives with it, or 2 peices of 90% chocolate.

dinner varies as to what I am cooking the family if i make a curry I will have it with shredded cabbage for example.

I do allow myself the odd glass of red wine. I drink coffee with unsweetened soy milk.

So basically what you have but without the full saturated fat stuff, and I am never hungry and have problems keeping the weight on!
So I think it really is your breakfast that you could cut back on the calories. Are you frying the veg for you lunchtime soup with lots of fat? Also could you up your exercise at all?

Good luck!

Congratulations and well done.

To answer your question: yes, in my experience it often does. It has other things to repair and sort out. It may be a temporary or longer term halt. But either way, the most important thing now is to hang on to what you have achieved, and to stabilize your weight at it's present level. So my advice is not to change anything, and sit tight for awhile. This is a lifetime project, there's not hurry. It's important not to get hungry, so if you do tweak your diet, keep a record and include your hunger level. It might be an idea to use a programme like myfitnesspal or fitday to track what you eat, calories, fat, protein and carbs. There are things you can try in future if necessary, like raising fat and lowering protein.
