Insulin
I’m on 8 units of insulatard and 2000mg a day but of netformin recently I have had lower than normal blood sugar which drops quickly. I saw diabetic nurse today who suggested to cut my insulin by half and to monitor the levels now I have reached 16.7 which I know is way to high and not sure what to do

Hi @teddybear74 ,

How low were you going, and when. Before the dosage change.?
Hi jaylee the dose of insulatard didn’t change till last night and my levels was dropping in the morning nothing changed in my morning routine. The only thing we can think of is the weather but the nurse also said I could be fighting a virus. Had awful night kept waking up hot and sweaty again but my sugars are in double figures. The figure I had yesterday morning was 9 not a true hypo this morning I’m 10.1 went to bed at 14.3

Hi there Teddybear74, was the 10 in the morning, before or after your dosage change? If it was after, what was that similarly timed test before you cut your dose?

Hi

I take my insulatard at night so the 10.1 was first thing after the dosage change yesterday morning I was 8 went up to 16 then down to 9 an hour later checked every half hour to hour and it was all over the place in bed rest today
