Yep I'm 22 and I'm diabetic type 1 insulin dependent. Got my hba1c and doctor said it was 72. So don't know what to think
OP has been T1 for 14 years. No sure your type, I am not a doctor or in a position to comment on your result, if I may ask, as its quite important, re general info, of results, the norm should be depending on countries, if one does not have symptoms two (2) tests should be conducted that show a value level over the cut point threshold the same, if they are over the threshold, this allows the label diagnosis of Diabetes given based on the cut off value in the country your resident in, did you receive one test only or two? Two is a back up to ensure the lab tests was correct first time especially if discordant areas in place, you may have normal blood sugards, yet A1C high for example Many countries dont do two tests, only one, here in spain only one unfortunately, depending on your situation, worthwhile asking for 2nd test if you have not already to clarify and put you a peace of mind. Ask 100 questions if you have to, its worthwhile. Hope this assists.
