Hi @alison pullin , if you could let us know what medication you are on and a typical days diet looks like we may be able to help.

4 500mg metaformin forxiga 10 mg atostarvin 7mg rybelsus 7mg morning whole meal bread no adder sugar marmalade lunch a pasty teatime baked potato tuna i drink tea and no sugar fruit water.

If you want to consider eating fewer carbs - your meals look very high in carbs for me - you'd need to talk with your diabetic nurse/team first to check if any of your meds need to be reduced.

To note,
I don't eat wholemeal bread - it has almost the same carbs as white bread, I don't eat pastry unless it is fake pastry made with ground almonds and baked potatoes are off my list too.
If I want bread I may have a small slice from a seeded loaf now I'm in remission, before only 90-second bread made with ground almonds.
Instead of potato I'd have mashed cauliflower sometimes mixed with a little butternut squash or kohlrabi.
But I have a few fresh raspberries with full-fat Greek yogurt or a low-carb crumble (almonds again) with rhubarb or gooseberries with real egg custard (no flour) or double cream. Plus a couple of squares of 85% chocolate at bedtime. So plenty of nice tasting foods around to replace the carbs!
